So how many of you actually stayed up and watched the insanity of the all night Iraq "debate?" I'll admit, being the political junkie I am, I watched until about 2am. Some of the things I heard were amazing. First, anybody who has read this blog knows I am not on John McCain's campaign wagon. Having said that, you have to give credit where credit is due. Senator McCain was awesome during this staged event. So were most of the Republicans for that matter, and for that, they should be congratulated. Then there were the Dems. How did this party go from wanting to stop Hitler, to wanting give in to Al Qaeda? Perhaps the most insane stuff came from Mr. Chappaquiddick. If you want to hear a quick sound bite on his ridiculousness, go to lauraingraham.com. On the left click on the free audio section and give a listen to the Senate Sleep-Over. During this sound byte, you will hear the senior blow hard from Massachusetts say that the Dems. have seen the polls and the American people want us out. Let the hypocrisy begin. Kennedy and polls? How come Teddy didn't seem to give a flying you know what about the polls when it came to his shamnesty bill? How come the man nobody wants to ride in a car with is not paying attention to the polls about Congress? A recent poll on rasmussenreports.com says only 16% of Americans believe Congress is doing a good or excellent job. The same site has a poll that says 51% of Americans want to wait until General Petraeus's September report to decide if an Iraq policy change is needed. For Kennedy to use polls as his argument is just disingenuous. And hypocritical. But what else is new for the Defeatist...um... Democratic party?
