Well, Client #9 has finally resigned from his post as Governor of New York. Eliot the idiot resigned with his usual arrogance, lack of humility, lack of grace, and of course with his wife at his side. As a proud conservative who is eager to finish my schooling and get out of this too blue state, I must admit that it is absolutely stunning to look back at the last 14 months and see how things changed so quickly. From winning the election with 69% of the vote, to
Troopergate,
to the idiotic drivers license's for
illegal aliens,
I haven't seen a faster fall since King Kong fell off the Empire State Building. So long Eliot, I hope the door to the Emperor's Club hits you real hard in the butt. This leads to Silda Wall Spitzer. Now, when the story first broke, like most of us, I felt really bad for Mrs. Spitzer. And I agreed with so many of the talking heads on TV. Why do politicians drag their wives in front of the camera's when humiliation comes a politicians way? With a couple of days having passed since the initial non-apology/apology press conference, I've started to rethink my thoughts a little when it comes to Mrs. Spitzer. Now, don't get me wrong. What client #9 did to his wife was disgusting and he is a dirt bag. However, I started to read reports that Mrs. Spitzer was actually urging her loser of a husband to
stay in,
and I had to start rethinking my position in regards to her. Remember when the feminists were running around telling women not to put up with their cheating spouses? Stand up for yourself was the mantra. Then Hillary Clinton came around and flushed that idea down the toilet. If you have huge aspirations, then it's ok to put up with a cheating husband. I'm starting to believe that Mrs. Spitzer might fall into the Hillary line of thinking. Does she not realize that client #9 broke laws? Does she not realize that client #9 broke the trust of the people of New York? Why on earth would she urge her husband to try and stick it out? Is power more important than shielding her daughters from the continuing humiliation that client #9 was bringing to their family? I just don't get it. It seems to me that Mrs. Spitzers first priority should be her family right now. Forget about the title of First Lady. Forget about future political aspirations. The most important job for Mrs. Spitzer right now is to be a shielding and protective mom. Understand, I'm not saying she is a bad mother or anything like that. I just think her priorities should be elsewhere right now. Protecting client #9's political future isn't one of them.
